Exploring the AI Frontier in Accounting ---- CARLab and ISACA Host Annual Workshop

On June 12, 2026, the Continuous Auditing and Reporting Lab (CARLab) and ISACA New Jersey Chapter co-hosted the annual workshop "Artificial Intelligence Applications in Accounting" at Rutgers Business School-Newark. The workshop brought together leading experts and CARLab's researchers to explore the cutting edge of AI trends in the profession. Throughout the day, attendees dived into critical topics including LLM risks, blockchain disclosures, agentic audit procedures, and practical GenAI demonstrations. By bridging advanced academic research with industry insights from expert presenters, the workshop provided invaluable strategies for navigating the rapidly evolving AI landscape in accounting and auditing.
