I refer to my earlier information regarding the Queensland
State Government Department of Families - Australia
A project team has been established and is tasked with
developing & implementing a comprehensive Performance Measurement &
Analysis Framework for the Department incorporating legislative and managerial
performance. The term "framework" encapsulates the collection, collation,
analysis, reporting and dissemination of performance information for the
Department which provides Child Protection, Juvenile Justice and other welfare
services to the population of the State of Queensland. The project will
impact on performance measurement culture, function and structure of the
Department impacting on our major program areas and our corporate support
function (finance & human resources). The main objective of the framework is
to develop a contemporary performance measurement and analysis function
to support the performance management functions of the
department.
As the project manager I am seeking expressions of interest
from experienced senior professionals who have gone down this road to
participate in what we refer to as a "reference group" for the
project.
The reference group will act as an external benchmark and
sounding board - providing intellectual & experiential
feedback on the development and implementation of the project objectives to
the project team on a periodic basis as initiated by the project team.
The project will be managed by a steering committee to which
collective input from the reference group will also be provided.
The composition of the reference group will comprise a mixture
of stakeholder managers, national and international participants and will be
managed via email.
