" Psyche Boundaries series inaugurates a new stage of my work, but integrates in it, as usual, intimations of my past work, as a continuous work in progress.
This series started in 2006 until now and is inspired by enduring patterns of inner experience.
There are underlying questions about the expectations of individual culture, by means of perception and interpreting self/others appropriateness of emotional response. In this context, it also explores the issues of psychological connection/disconnection.
The visual materiality belonging to this series is intimately related in its conceptual process and representations: the framing and the central plane reappear, now relating to the use phrases /words /images, in the shape of Self-Portrait of an Image or a Voice. I also incorporate in some of these paintings, texts, photography color copies related to this subject.
The very fragments being part of the canvas as ready-mades and than painted over, the motives themselves tend to invade the painting that wraps, integrates and frames them. It is a constant in my work to create it as a place for conjecture and reinvention; a place for desired and denied access ".
