Call for Papers

The 16th WCAS (World Continuous Auditing Symposium) will be held at Rutgers Business School on November 7 & 8, 2008.  The Symposium will be held in the Lecture Hall,  Room 123, Ackerson Hall,  which is located at 180 University Avenue in Newark, NJ 07102.

Previous non-US conferences were held annually at Monaco (2004), Malta (2005), San Paulo, Brazil (2006), Ferrara, Italy (2007) and Crete (2008). Papers and presentations from prior conferences can be found at http://raw.rutgers.edu/.

Papers, presentations, and ideas for panels are being requested. Please submit materials in a word document to Dr. Miklos A. Vasarhelyi at miklosv@andromeda.rutgers.edu  no later than October 1, 2008.

Tentative topics on the program are:

• sessions on continuous audit and reporting research
• several presentations about monitoring and control and continuous audit products
• company experiences with continuous audit
• a session on audit automation
• some presentations of continuous assurance efforts by the larger CPA firms
